Mission

Our mission at BioEnergy is to provide products and services that bring balance and quality to people’s lives. We have reached a point where we refuse to be bombarded with more and more digital distractions, irrelevant information, and superfluous features. Instead, we need to create space to discover and accept who we are and what makes us unique.

We live in exciting times!

Things we take for granted today existed only in the wildest dreams of visionaries and science fiction writers a few decades ago. With our smartphones and tablets, we can talk face-to-face with a friend who lives on another continent, find the answer to any question instantly, and access hundreds of hours of new media uploaded every second.

But something has gone wrong.

More and more of us feel that this dream of unlimited possibilities is turning into a nightmare of anxiety and constant worry. We allow our “social media feeds” and random notifications to interrupt our real-time conversations.

We find it hard to remember the last time we enjoyed a quiet moment of solitude without having to pick up the phone.

We find it hard to concentrate enough to read a chapter of a book without getting distracted.

Technology was supposed to give us more free time, but the opposite seems to be the case.

Nowadays, people limit their perception to 6-inch smartphone screens. What a waste of all the beauty and amazing things that surround us in real life!

We should open our eyes, observe the world around us, be present and not limit our lives to those tiny screens, as is often the case these days.

We are more inundated with information than ever before and are increasingly reliant on our smartphones and tablets for our need for distraction.

That is one of the many reasons why we founded BioEnergy. To say no to a lifestyle dominated by glowing screens. To say yes to the freedom and time to live a real offline life, with all its beauty of colours, smells, textures, relationships, and emotions.

Think about it for a moment!

The excessive use of modern technology also has negative sides that we should be aware of.

We prefer online interactions to reality.

We lose the ability to enjoy our lives offline.

We’d rather click through a feed of irrelevant updates than experience a moment of presence or self-reflection. It’s a spiral. Our dopaminergic brain wants more and makes everyday experiences seem boring and unsatisfying.

This is not just a private matter.

Digital distractions affect us all, our relationships with friends and family. We have become accustomed to scrolling through our “social media feeds” while having dinner or talking to a partner or colleague.

We need to be careful when it comes to the long-term, health effects of today’s technology. Excessive use of devices can be harmful to our bodies, our eyes and our posture. The radiation we are exposed to is also a cause for concern. The best protection is to stay as close to natural levels as possible to limit exposure.

We believe that great things can happen when we are fully present and aware.

We want to find deeper and more stable peace of mind, clarity, and focus. We want to build authentic relationships. We want to simply enjoy a walk in the park without our phones constantly demanding our attention. We believe that without constant distractions, it is easier to create space in our lives for amazing things to happen!

We don’t blame smartphones for all the evil in the world, but their growing influence on our behaviour, our relationships, our ability to concentrate and our health is alarming. Our personal data, our time and our attention have become money machines for which various technology and media companies compete. Their products are designed to get us hooked, and we are not very good at resisting them.

At BioEnergy, we sell products and services that give you back control over your privacy and your relationship with technology. Phones were meant to connect people, but their excessive use isolates us. Smartphones can also affect our vision and posture. The long-term consequences of our constant exposure to artificial sources of radiation have not yet been fully researched, but the early results urge caution.

To make a difference, we need more than tools, we need education.

That’s why we want to focus not only on the best products, but also to gather valuable resources and share that knowledge. We are working with like-minded people, researchers, and organisations around the world to start a discussion.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Open your eyes, observe the world around us, enjoy the beauty and amazing things that surround us in real life!
